Panel

When my daughter was born, we had a photographer who we loved make a panel of photos from her first year and a half. It's proudly hanging in our hallway, and it's the one possession that I think I might run back in to my house to grab if the house were on fire. Sadly, that photographer is no longer taking clients, so when our baby boy came along, I decided to make his panel myself to commemorate his first year and a half of life. After our final panel session at 18 months old, here is the finished product:

I made it to match my daughter's panel, and I can't wait to have it framed and hang it in the hallway right under his big sister's panel. Fortunately, this file is saved on my hard drive and backed up to external storage, so I'll only have to grab the one panel if the house is on fire.

September Sunset

I love the beautiful light right before sunset. I had been itching to get my own kids out for some pictures at sunset, but it hadn't yet made it to the top of my priority list. Then the other day I was driving home from a friend's house right about 5 pm. We passed a beautiful spot that I hadn't noticed before, and of course I immediately thought it would be perfect for a photo shoot. So last weekend I dragged my kids out there to test it out. This may be one of my new favorite locations!
