She was wide awake, and I have to say, probably the LEAST cross-eyed newborn I've ever seen. Look at those perfect eyes! It's probably because she's going to be brilliant. I'm sure of it.

One week old and absolutely perfect...
 

This little girl is already very well loved!






We tried to get a few more sleepy pictures, but by this point in the photo shoot we had 6 small children all playing in the studio, jumping on the trampoline, yelling and singing, touching the baby, climbing on the lighting kits...not the most calming environment for sleepy pictures. So Baby B decided to give us some pictures with her pretty eyes open! I'm pretty sure she was having fun watching the big kids play. Pretty sure.

And look at her sweet mama! This amazing mom gave birth to Baby #3 and then mowed her own lawn less than a week later. I'm not kidding! And look how good she looks! How??!!







I do not want another baby. I do not want another baby. I do not want another baby....I have to keep chanting this to myself, because every time I look at her sweet little face I start to want one!

Baby M

There is nothing in the world like a new mom with her first baby. I love to see that shiny new love that pours out of her on to her tiny first-born. Such precious, sleep-deprived days! At 3 months old, brand new Baby M was just learning to hold up that head and explore her new world. Such a dark-eyed, perfectly chubby, little cutie pie! So many fun things in store for this new family!

I'm Back!

Whew! It's been a crazy summer with a new baby and no school. But things are settling down and I'm officially back to photographing people other than my own children again. I started off with the perfect subject - this handsome little man. Could he be any more beautiful? At almost 2 years old, he was very sweet and fun. I think 2-year olds may be my favorite people in the whole world!

Here are just a few of the images from our time together. He looks an awful lot like my own 2-year old boy, so of course I think he's super cute!

Sweet Sisters

These pictures make me wish I had 2 little girls I could dress up in matching dresses.  I love these little girls, partly because they're both amazing little girls, and partly because their mom is equally amazing. I'm not so sure I would have made it through this past year with my sanity still intact if it weren't for this family who I love so much!






This sweet girl is one of my daughter's very favorite friends! She's inquisitive, intensely intuitive, compliant, and kind-hearted. All of that adds up to one very special girl!



Her little sister has a bit more fire in her personality! Spunky, determined, and way too smart for her own good...also adds up to a super special little girl!



I love this expression. She's up to something!
